Forgiveness

“The line of forgiveness lies between hatred and love”, that's what the song (Entre el odio y el amor) of Angel Lopez says.  Sometimes I wonder if this line really exists or is it closer to hatred or the so-called love because it is very difficult for me to find most of the time.  We say that we forgive knowing that we may never forget the insult or cause.  

“I forgive you” is not a word I use often because I still feel this rage inside and it takes me a long time to calm down.  It also happens that after having forgiven someone, something else raises again this same rage that I felt for that person.  So, my question is: what is forgiveness? and what it’s use for exactly?
