It’s just fear (or loneliness, anger, frustration, whatever). Don’t let it jerk you around.
When you look deep inward yourself, you'll find out that most of your feelings and behaviors are connected to your childhood. We have been taught to express only our good feelings and repress all that can be considered as bad feelings like anger, frustration, hurt, resentment, etc. When you're a kid, parents don't give you much opportunity to express yourself; it rare to find parents teaching their children to show their emotions and freely express their opinions and thoughts. The so-callled negative feelings are often denied, ignored, or repressed. For example, it's common to hear a father telling his 4 or 5 years-old son that just felt and hurt himself:"Boys don't cry".
Feelings are reflection of our mood, our beliefs and thoughts. Acknowledge and accept what you feel from time to time, it will help you make the right decision and find the person within you. Someone may not show them; feelings are inside whether they are expressed or not. Your feelings always tell you something important about yourself. Sharing your feelings helps you. The way a person feels inside is important. It can be really hard not to tell anyone what you're feeling. When you share personal feelings, you don't want them brushed aside, denied or taken lightly. It is the search for understanding that makes anyone open up about feelings in the first place regardless of age or sex.
Some people deny or ignore their own feelings, or dismiss the feelings of others. It's not good to hide your feelings; hidden feelings may well distort your perception of events and information. Unpleasant facts may be ignored. Suppressed feelings lead to barriers, increased conflicts, and the deterioration of any relationship. Constant inner turmoil leads to chronic fatigue and lowers resistance to physical disease. If you keep feelings locked inside, it can even make you feel sick. Negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, negativity, frustration and depression cause chemical reactions in your body that are very different from the chemicals released when you feel positive emotions such as happy, content, loved, accepted.
Be in touch with them so you should find a way to let it out without hurting yourself or others. Or it's just you and these bad feelings. When difficult feelings are expressed, the depth of your personality comes out; it is like taking the sharp edges of the feeling and dulling them and then it is easier to let those bad feelings go. You can dance, jump around, kick, hit something, cry (if you feel like to), scream (but no shouting at anyone please), write it down, tell someone, etc. Do something that relaxex you or gets your full attention; get out for a walk or any other exercise that can help you.
