I’ve heard of mystery shopping long time ago so one day I said to myself: why not?? I have time and I wouldn’t mind the money and sometimes free stuffs that might come along.  Then one day, I was surfing the snagajob website and click on a link to shadowshopper.com.  Before even signing up, I started receiving emails from them almost every day so I decided to register to their bronze account. 

After I signed up, I started receiving emails about upgrading to the Gold membership, which is a paid membership, so you can have the unlimited ability to apply instantly to all the jobs on site, get your name listed first for employers, etc.  But what the emails never tell you is that with the bronze membership, you can’t do shit.  You can see all the jobs listed but can’t apply for any of them; you can get a job only if an employer reaches out to you (so basically you’re sitting on your ass waiting for one to contact you).  And when you upgrade, the membership is renewed automatically at the end of the month; sometimes you’ll get a special rate to upgrade but the renewal is at the normal price.  You have seven (7) days to decide if you like it or not to cancel and get a refund; after that they will not refund you anything.

So when I figured this out, I decided to make some researches instead of upgrading and I was right; I discovered that to get an assignment, the employers will ask you to sign up to their own website as well.  Basically, this site is a freaking joke and a big waste of time so don’t even bother to sign up.  And I also found out that there are a lot of complaints against them on BBB.

J'ai entendu parler du mystery shopping (ou client mystère) il y a longtemps puis un jour je me suis dit : pourquoi pas?? J'ai le temps et l'argent et parfois les trucs gratuits qui pourraient venir avec ne me dérangeront pas.  Puis un jour, je surfais sur le site snagajob et cliqué sur un lien vers shadowshopper.com.  Avant même de m’inscrire, j'ai commencé à recevoir des courriels d'eux presque tous les jours alors j'ai décidé de m'enregistrer à leur compte Bronze.

Après que je me suis inscrit, j'ai commencé à recevoir des courriels pour adhérer au compte Gold, qui est un abonnement payant, de façon à avoir la capacité illimitée d'appliquer instantanément à tous les travaux sur site, que votre nom apparaisse en premier pour les employeurs, etc..  Mais ce que les emails ne vous diront jamais, c'est qu’avec le compte bronze, vous ne pouvez rien pas foutre.  Vous pouvez voir tous les emplois répertoriés, mais ne peut postuler pour aucun d'entre eux; vous pouvez obtenir un emploi que si un employeur fait appel à vous (donc en gros que tu es assis sur ton cul en attendant que l'un puisse te contacter).  Et lorsque vous adhérer au compte Gold, l'abonnement est renouvelé automatiquement à la fin du mois; parfois, vous obtiendrez un tarif spécial pour adhérer au compte Gold, mais le renouvellement est au prix normal.  Vous disposez de sept (7) jours pour décider si vous l'aimez ou pas pour annuler et obtenir un remboursement; après cela ils ne vous rembourseront pas quoi que ce soit.  

Donc quand j'ai compris tout cela, j'ai décidé de faire quelques recherches au lieu d’adhérer au compte Gold et j'avais raison; j'ai découvert que pour obtenir une assignation, les employeurs vous demanderont de vous inscrire à leur propre site Web aussi.  Fondamentalement, ce site est une foutue blague et une grande perte de temps donc ne vous donnez même pas la peine de vous inscrire.  Et j'ai aussi découvert qu'il y a beaucoup de plaintes à leur encontre sur BBB.
